Match report by Ron Stickney:

The  Willamette Valley Firebirds were up 1-0 at 90 minutes behind Jason Crevar's goal, but the Seattle Sounders Select scored in the one minute of added time to level the score. Then Seattle won the match in the 9th minute of overtime. Both Seattle goals were scored by Ian Chursky, giving him 9 goals for the season.

The Select were missing 7 players who are representing Washington at the U-23 regional tournament, and another player who is with the Oregon U-23 team.

36' Crevar (Gail). Seattle goalkeeper Jonas Tanzer was called for handling a back pass. Willamette Valley were awarded an indirect free kick 7 yards from the left post. Peter Gail rolled the ball to Crevar, who hit the ceiling of the goal inside the far corner.

90' Chursky (Farnsworth). In the one minute of injury time, Seattle's Chris Farnsworth got a touch on the ball in the arc and pushed it forward towards the penalty spot. Chursky saw what was developing and got the jump on the defenders, getting to the ball two steps ahead of the defense. From the spot, Chursky shot inside the left post, beating Firebirds goalkeeper Colin McMillen.

99' Chursky (Brown). Chad Brown's free kick from the home bench went in the air to the far post. McMillen could only get a piece of the ball with his hand, and the ball went to Chursky left of goal. Chursky fired the match winner inside the far post.
