Match summary from Seattle Sounders Select Women:

Midfielder Michelle Zentz scored the game-winning overtime golden goal as the Seattle Sounders Select Women defeated the Arizona Heatwave 1-0.

Zentz's first goal of the season came in the second minute (92nd) of overtime on a pass from forward Karen Hardy. On the right side of the penalty area, 20 yards from goal, Hardy sent a through ball for Zentz towards the six-yard box. As Zentz ran towards the ball, the Arizona goalkeeper came out to try to clear the ball away. Zentz got to the ball just before the goalkeeper and her shot went under the goalkeeper and into the empty net.

Select goalkeeper Lindsey Jorgensen made eight saves, including six in the second half to earn the shutout. The Select Women controlled play in the game, except for late in the second half when Jorgensen made some key saves to allow the game to go to extra time.

Post Game Quotes: Select Women's Head Coach Chance Fry:
"Our goal coming into this weekend was to sweep the two games against Arizona. That mission was accomplished thanks to great team play tonight and Saturday. We are now all looking forward to our home opener on Saturday night against Vancouver."
