Match report from the Sounders Women:

The Sounder Women kick off their four game road trip with a gutsy 3-2 win against the Arizona Heatwave. The Sounders found themselves trailing early when Sierra Cristiano bent a beautiful free kick into the top corner. Seattle tallied back when Brenda Mueller got behind the defence and finished off the pass from Rachell Rodrick. A few minutes later Heatwave forward Lindsey Eddleman finished a great cross with a fantastic volley. The Sounder women battle back agian to tie the score, Nikki Gamble made a great run with the ball and knocked it forward to Janelle Munnis, Janelle put it low and in the near corner, the keeper never had a chance. About fifteen minutes into the second half, the Sounders outside midfielders connected on a great goal. Alecia Milyak crossed the ball to a wide open Nikki Gamble who shot it first time into the top corner. This put the Sounders up for good, Meghan Miller dealt with a few potential threats late in the game but made it look easy to preserve the victory for the Sounders.
