Match report from the Sounders Women:

With goals from 8 different players, the Sounders Women won easily, 9-0. Tammy Hartung was the only player to score two goals, her first two of the year. "We started 4 players who have not played as much as some of the other girls on the trip," said coach Dick McCormick. "We have a good team with a lot of depth and I was able to rest many players tonight. We had 7 players play less then 50 minutes, which was great. We have a big game tomorrow night against the Denver Lady Cougars and we are in great shape for the game." Shelby Brownfield, Brenda Mueller, Rachel Rodrick, Sophie Spickard, Janelle Munnis, Wynne McIntosh, and Nikki Gamble all scored one goal for the Sounders. The Women play Wednesday night against Denver, who knocked out the Sounders in the quarterfinals last year. "This will be a very important game for us. We have to beat the teams that we will be competing with for one of the two playoff spots." Says McCormick. The Sounders are now 5-2 and are on a three game winning streak.
