Match report from the Sounders:

The The Seattle Sounders played host to the Hibernian Saints, the United States Adult Soccer Association national champions, on Tuesday morning in a special exhibition match for kids at Qwest Field. Brett Wiesner scored three goals and had one assist as the Sounders defeated the Saints 10-0.

Wiesner started the Sounders 10 goal run in the 16th minute of the match when he slammed the ball into the back of the net off a Ben Somoza cross.

Rookie forward Josh Hansen continued the Sounders scoring in the 20th minute when Somoza crossed a ball from the right side of the field to Wiesner. Wiesner was able to control the ball with his chest and pass it off to Hansen who volleyed the ball past Saints ‘kepper Danny Waltman. Hansen scored his second goal of the match in the 32nd minute, unassisted.

Wiesner was on the attack again in the 23rd minute when he scored on a pass from the left side from guest player Ebu Cham (All- Nations Cup participant- member of Team Ghana).

Minutes later Wiesner found the back of the net again when he was on the end of a deflected shot by Cham. Cham fired a shot that was redirected to the feet of Wiesner who was able to finish on the play.

In the 29th minute Somoza struck a corner kick from the right side of the field. Scott Jenkins redirected the ball into the far netting of the Saints goal to give the Sounders a 5-0 lead. Somoza scored in the 49th minute on an assist from Chad Brown.

Chad Brown, CJ Klaas and Jacob Besagno (Brent Whitfield assist) all had second half goals for the Sounders.
