Match report from the Sounders FC

The Sounders FC reserves took on Gonzaga today at Starfire and got goals from non-roster forward Alex Chursky and Tyson Wahl in a 2-1 win. Chursky banged in a header off of a rebound in the 33rd minute. Gonzaga leveled the score on a breakaway in the 65th minute, but Wahl came back and reclaimed the lead in the 66th minute when he got his foot on the ball to redirect a free kick in for the 2-1 lead.

Bojang, a Gambian center back, was with the team in training camp. Marshall is the younger brother of Sounders FC defender Tyrone Marshall and is in town to help his older brother paint his house. He wanted to get a game in, so it fit pretty well. Allen has been training with the team as a non-roster player after a successful career at UW and one season with the LA Galaxy. Sturm and Fishbaugher played with the USL Sounders and are now with the Seattle Wolves. Lee is a Pierce College product who played last year with the Tacoma Tide of the PDL. Chursky is an assistant under head coach Brad Agoos at Seattle University, where he is fourth on the all-time goals list.
