Led by Chugger Adiar s third goal of the season, the Seattle Sounders took a hard fought 1-0 win over the Nashville Metros to kick off a four match, ten day road trip, before 2,814 fans.

The 6-5 Adair hit the match winner at 79 , taking a brilliant 10 yard right footed flip over badly positioned Nashville goalkeeper Matt LeBerge.  The shot came after Adair settled an 18-yard cross from Justin Stoddard from deep down the Metro s right touch line.

It was a very physical match,  said Sounder head coach Neil Megson.  The boys played extremely well in the second half - and on the biggest damn field you ll ever see in your life.

Seattle goalkeeper Dusty Hudock registered his fifth win and fourth shutout of the young season.  For the match the former University of Washington All-American prevented nine Metro shots and made three saves.

Sounder defender Mark Watson missed the match due to a suspension which resulted following two cautions he received May 4th at California.  League rules mandate that a player must miss the next match his team
plays following seven days.
