From today's Sounders news release:
(Seattle, WA) – The Seattle Sounders Professional Soccer Club today announced an exclusive pre-sale agreement with New York based promoter Champions World to distribute tickets for the July 22nd Seahawks Stadium game between two of the world's best known soccer clubs, England's Manchester United and Scotland's Celtic FC.
A limited number of Manchester United tickets are available to those who buy Sounder season tickets or a ticket package to 2003 Sounder games inside Seahawks Stadium.
After purchasing Sounder season tickets or a ticket package, buyers have the opportunity to purchase the equivalent number of Manchester United tickets for the anticipated sell out of their game against Celtic FC.
Manchester United, arguably the world's most popular soccer club, includes some of the world's greatest players including David Beckham, Paul Scholes and Roy Keane.
"We have been working closely with Champions World for several weeks and are excited to be able to announce this partnership," said Sounder general manager Adrian Hanauer. "We're always trying to take care of Sounder customers and this offer certainly is an example of that."
The Sounders have some of the best $60 seats available in multiple sections of Seahawks Stadium. Simply phone 800 796.KICK and ask about the Manchester United/Sounder ticket offer.
Sounder season tickets range from $140 in the reserved section to $280 in the club section. Four brand new ticket package options were created to give soccer fans more choices in 2003. A six-game flex pack, a Saturday/Sunday game option, a men's/women's doubleheader plan and a 7-game plan give fans creative ticketing options.
The Sounders, who finished 2002 with the second best record in league history, the A-League Coach of the Year and the MVP of the league play their regular season home opener on May 2nd at Seahawks Stadium.
Manchester United tickets do not go on sale to the public until March 15th.
