Sounders to Broadcast 2003 Season on 1150 AM - KKNW

(Seattle, WA) – The Seattle Sounders today announced a partnership with radio station KKNW to broadcast the Sounders 28-game season.

"We've been dark for the last few years when it came to broadcasting," said Sounder general manager Adrian Hanauer. "Things fell into place this year and we're excited to offer radio broadcasts to soccer fans around Seattle and to our many sponsors."

Thom Beuning will call the play-by-play action and will travel with the team during their 14 road games.

"It's an honor to be chosen as the voice of the Sounders," said Beuning who doubles as the voice of Seattle Thunderbirds hockey club. "I'm a huge soccer fan and will thoroughly enjoy each Sounder broadcast."

The broadcast will include a 15-minute pre game coaches show featuring Sounder head coach Brian Schmetzer and a 15-minute post game wrap up show.
