Seattle's goal came from Joe Watson and sent the teams into the locker room at halftime level at 1-1.

After starting the season with nine consecutive league wins, the Select have now lost four in a row.

First Half

Yakima's Bob Schefter took the first pair of shots, a long one sent wide of the far post and a shot from a cleared corner kick that sailed over the bar.

For Seattle, Watson had a good chance early when a through ball put him in the penalty area with only the 'keeper to beat, but Watson missed the lower far corner by a yard.

22' Kingsley (Foisie). Foisie crossed from the right touch line to the near post, where Kingsley outmuscled his marker to finish from five yards. 1-0 Yakima.

Chris Farnsworth came right back for Seattle with a shot from the top left corner of the penalty area, aimed inside the far post, but Shawn Tobias leaped sideways to push the ball along the goal line outside the post.

For Yakima, Sagare rolled a 25-yard shot up the middle, easily saved by Tanzer. Sagare's cross from the right was headed by Foisie towards the near post where Tanzer saved it. Foisie lost his marker to shoot from 25 yards on the left, saved again by Tanzer.

Scott Burcar took a 25-yard Seattle free kick and was just wide of the near post. Watson was open on the right for a pass and a shot, fired well wide of the near post.

45' Watson (Van Bloomstein). During the one minute of added time, Christian Van Bloomstein from the right side in his own half sent a long ball over the defense. Watson was first to it with Tobias coming out of goal. Watson chipped over Tobias, who got a hand on the ball but not enough of it to stop the goal. 1-1.

Halftime: Seattle 1 – 1 Yakima

Early in the second half Van Bloomstein was up for a shot from the arc, sent just over the bar.

51' Sagare (Foisie). A square cross was rolled by Foisie from the top left corner of the area. Sagare, with back to goal, let the ball roll past him, then he turned and scored from in front of the arc. 2-1 Yakima.

Seattle came close to leveling the score again in the next couple of minutes. Manny Ruiz beat his marker and carried the ball into the area from the left side and shot low, but Tobias collapsed to make the save. Farnsworth took a 25-yard free kick and just missed the top right corner.

56' Kingsley (Machado). Kingsley's chip from the right side was deflected by an onrushing Tanzer but the ball continued toward goal, then a defender cleared the shot just in front of the goal line. Luis Machado collected the clearance and passed the ball right back to a criminally unmarked Kingsley, who beat Tanzer with a shot to the top near corner. Yakima 3-1.

Seattle had the next series of chances. Zac Tallman's blast from the 18-yard line was almost good enough, but Tobias leaped toward the far post to pluck the shot from the air. Farnsworth headed a ball from the bye line to Rob Schaper, waiting 12 yards from goal, but Schaper fired well over the bar when he could have done better. Mike Casale took a 30-yard free kick and sent it low up the middle, and Tobias was there for the save.

The momentum shifted back to Yakima. Aaron Heinzen overlapped on a counterattack and from the left side he shot wide of the near post. Foisie tried to surprise Tanzer from the left side but the goalkeeper was there for the save. Foisie had another chance from the left and sent it over the bar.

From a Seattle throw-in play, Van Bloomstein hit the front of the crossbar.

84' Foisie (Kingsley). On a counterattack, Kingsley dished left to a wide open Foisie, who measured his shot and scored straight ahead inside the near post from 15 yards. Yakima 4-1.

Yakima had the final shots. Machado ripped a shot from the arc, but right at Tanzer. Sagare beat his marker and shot from 12 yards on the right, but he hit the outside of the net.
