Match report based on one from the Sounders Select:

The Seattle Sounders Select got a match-winning second half penalty kick goal from forward Ian Chursky in the 65th minute to defeat the Yakima Reds 3-2 Friday night at Marquette Stadium in Yakima. Chursky's match-winning goal came after he was tackled by the Reds' Aaron Heinzen in the penalty area. Heinzen received a red card and was ejected for the tackle. The Sounders Select were able to come back after trailing 2-0 at halftime.

Reds players Greg Foisie (10th minute) and Milton Resende (34th minute) gave Yakima their first half lead.

Seattle got more physical in the second half and got goals from Chad Brown (48th minute) and Chursky's first goal (60th minute). Chursky is a native of Federal Way, WA. Sounders Select goalkeeper Jonas Tanzer made seven saves for the victory.

Post Game Quotes: Reds Coach Jeff Perry-
"They (Seattle) were more physical than us in the second half. They took it to us offensively. The officials didn't help us. It doesn't help to play with only 10 men. They got physical and we didn't handle it."
