The Seattle Sounders Select Women defeated the Portland Rain 3-0 in the second annual Mt. Si Cup exhibition match played at Mt. Si High School in Snoquamie, WA. Guest player Janelle Munnis scored the match-winning goal in the 9th minute for the Select Women.

Munnis is a forward and played for the Select Women last season. Her goal came on a rebound shot after the first one was taken by defender Sheryl Willams. The Select Women got their second goal from Laurie Klein in the 18th minute on a pass from Tari Beck. The final goal came when Katie Miyake won a 50-50 ball from the Portland goalkeeper and scored into an empty net on a pass from Michelle Zentz.

This game is the annual homecoming for Select Women's goalkeeper Lindsey Jorgensen. Jorgensen attended Mt. Si High School. She made one save in 18 minutes before yielding to Meghan Miller. Miller made three saves to combine for the shutout.
