Seattle Sounders  3 - 0  Washington State U23 Select
Burlington, WA

From the Sounders news release:

Andrew Gregor got the Sounders on the board against the Washington State U23 Select. He received a beautiful through ball from Leighton O'Brien and calmly chipped a shot past an oncoming goalkeeper. O'Brien figured in the second as well with a beautiful cross. Kyle Smith placed a header in the top right corner for the 2-0 halftime lead.

Fighting for a spot on the Sounder roster, Seattle University graduate Matt Hulen took the ball deep along the right touchline. He whipped a low cross into the middle of the 6-yard box where Greg Foisie hammered home his first goal of the preseason.

"It was good start to the preseason," said Sounder head coach Brian Schmetzer about the first two matches. "We got a good look at some guys fighting for spots on this already highly skilled team."
