Sounders Women Blowout Mustangs 6-0, End Road Trip 5-1-1

(Arvada, CO.) - - The Seattle Sounders Women ended their road stretch Wednesday night with a 6-0 blowout of the Mile High Mustangs at the North Area Athletic Complex. Two six-point performances by forwards Erin Redwine and Chalise Baysa capped off the Sounders Women road trip as they finished 5-1-1 on the road.

Striking first, Baysa scored in the 17th minute on a pass from midfielder Michelle French. Baysa's goal let the cat out of the bag as the Sounders Women would score five more goals in the next 65 minutes of play. Baysa would finish the game with two goals and two assists.

Having scored goals in the last two games Redwine continued her scoring streak with a three goal performance against the Mustangs. She scored back to back goals in the 42nd and 51st minutes, and then again in the 82nd.

With three more assists against the Mustangs French continues her offensive presence. French now leads the league in assists with seven in eight games [eleven assists by our count. ed].

Midfielder Nikki Gamble scored her first goal of the season in the 67th minute. Gamble finished the night with one goal and one assist.

The 5-1-1 roadtrip has given the Sounders Women the second best record in the W-League with an overall record of 6-1-1, 19pts, just a three points behind the New Jersey Wildcats. The Sounders Women offense has scored 29 goals in eight games, which is third highest in the league.
