Match report from the Sounders:
The Seattle Sounders Women recorded their second win of the season as they defeated the San Diego Gauchos Women 4-0 on the road. The Sounders Women outshot the Gauchos 12-3.
In the 18th minute midfielder Chalise Baysa received a through ball from Karly Larsen just inside of the 18-yard box. Baysa then cut into the center of the penalty box where she rocketed a shot into the right upper corner of the net past the Gauchos goalkeeper.
Forward Brenda Mueller slammed a half bicycle kick shot past the Gauchos goalkeeper in the 23rd minute off an assist from Nicole Garbin.
In the second half of play Mueller struck again. Mueller received a through pass from Dani Bridges, beat the goalkeeper in a one-on-one, then had an easy shot into the back of the net raising the Sounders Women's lead to 3-0.
In the 66th minute Amy Carnell entered the game as a sub. Her first touch on the ball was a header off a Gauchos goal kick. The header landed at the feet of Nicole Garbin who tucked the ball into the net from 18 yards out. With the goal the Sounders Women took a 4-0 lead in the 67th minute, a deficit to steep for the Gauchos to make up.
