Match report from the Rapids:

The Seattle Sounders finished off their pre-season schedule with a 3-0 win over the Puget Sound Soccer Academy Rapids Sunday before 1,500 fans at Whatcom Community College. Seattle pressured the Rapids from the opening whistle and PSSA's Mike Lockwood had to come up big in the first 15 minutes to keep the score even. After the Rapids' Abdul Aman missed wide left in the 18th minute, the Sounders Brett Hite was brought down in the box and converted a penalty kick in the 25th minute. PSSA's Kurt Swanson had two great chances in the first half, missing wide right in the 28th minute and heading directly into the hands of Sounders keeper Ben Dragavon in the 38th.

The Sounders opened the second half with a quick goal off the foot of Alex Megson in the 58th minute and Megson struck again in the 65th to put the final score at 3-0.

The PSSA Rapids open Pacific Coast Soccer League play on May 10th against the Seattle Wolves at Whatcom Community College. Kickoff is 5pm.
