Match report from Ron Stickney:

This year's edition of what is turning into an annual preseason match between the Seattle Sounders and the Hispanic All-Stars set a new high-water mark for goals scored by the All-Stars, but the Sounders scored more in a 4-2 win.

For the Sounders, the first half saw Daniel Scott playing with his brother Zach in the back, while Ricky Alvarez played with his brother Hugo in midfield.

Scoring started early when Sounders forward Colin Rigby was clear ahead on the right for a shot/cross that got by goalkeeper Edguardo Gonzales, and Jamie Watson was all alone on the far-post run for an easy tap in.

Less than a minute later All-Stars forward Julio Reyes broke through into the penalty area on the left and fired hard and low past goalkeeper Ben Dragavon to level the score.

A set play was converted by Seattle for a 2-1 lead at 25'. Hugo Alcaraz-Cuellar took a 30-yard free kick from the right side and bent it into the penalty area, and Zach Scott was on the far-post run to head it into the top left corner.

Just before intermission Craig Tomlinson's cross was handled in the penalty area. Tomlinson took the PK, and Gonzalez dove right to block it, then he blocked Cascio's shot from the rebound.

The 58th minute saw another Alcaraz-Cuellar free kick from the right get finished by the Sounders. The free kick sailed over the crowd and Jason Cascio wide left blasted it home.

Seattle's fourth goal came at 73' when trialist Brett Hite penetrated the penalty area and centered the ball to Alcaraz-Cuellar, who put a low, hard shot under the goalkeeper.

The All-Stars weren't done. After their corner kick play was cleared, defender and captain Jose Chavez sent a looping shot on goal from 35 yards in the 88th minute, and Dragavon slipped and fell on the artificial turf as he tried to back up. Dragavon could only watch as the ball landed in the center of the goal.

In the final minute Reyes nearly scored again for the All-Stars, putting a shot from the right just over Dragavon but onto the crossbar.
