Match report based on the Sounders' report:

The Seattle Sounders received an overtime golden goal from forward Darren Sawatzky in the 104th minute to come from behind and defeat the Bay Area Seals 3-2 in an A-League match played Sunday evening in Hayward, CA. Seattle opened the scoring when forward Erik Storkson scored his first goal of the season in the 7th minute. Bay Area tied the score at 1-1, with an Aman Kebreab goal in the 44th minute. The Seals took the lead when Dean Dobbs scored in the 71st minute.

The Sounders come-back started with Sawatzky's first goal in the 80th minute. The match-winning goal for Seattle came from Sawatzky in the 104th minute and occurred when Seattle's Viet Nguyen's shot bounced off the goalpost and Sawatzky was there for the tap-in goal.

Both teams were hampered by the loss of players to ejection. For Seattle, Andrew Gregor was ejected in the 38th minute for a serious-foul-play tackle on a Bay Area player. Tim Weaver was tossed for his second yellow card in the 81st minute for the Seals.

Seattle has won seven straight matches over Bay Area (formerly San Francisco Bay), dating back to the 1998 season.

Quotes - Sounders Forward Darren Sawatzky:
"Today's game was a hard fought battle. The guys dug down to get this game. We were tired after playing Friday in San Diego, but were able to rebound and come from behind tonight. This is a good solid win for us. We should have won in San Diego, but we will take this one. This is a huge energy boost for the team, and it also helps with Open Cup Qualifying."
