Match report from the Seattle Sounders:

Darren Sawatzky scored a match-winning goal from Craig Tomlinson's assist at 66 minutes to give the Seattle Sounders a 2-1 victory away against the Bay Area Seals.

Bay Area forward Kevin Jeffrey equalized at 41 minutes after taking a Sounders pass outside the penalty area.

Seattle had taken the lead at 1-0 when defender Scott Jenkins scored his second goal of the season in the 7th minute. Sawatzky stole a Seals clearing attempt in the penalty area and passed to Jenkins, who shot quickly. Jenkins' shot went high and into the top left corner of the net, beating Seals goalkeeper Dave Alexander.

Sawatzky's match-winner was his 16th goal of the season and came on a short pass in the penalty area from Tomlinson, who had intercepted a pass in the Seals defensive end and passed quickly to an open Sawatzky.
