The Seattle Sounders defeated the Indiana Blast 3-1 at Kuntz Stadium in Indianapolis, IN in a Fourth of July afternoon game. Sounders Ralph Robertson (2nd minute), Mark Baena (24th minute), and Sean Henderson (68th minute) scored the Seattle goals.  Indiana only managed one goal from Tim Foster in the 34th minute.  The Blast have lost five games in a row and nine of their last ten.

Seattle is 2-0 in their nine-day, three-city road trip.  Heat was a factor in this match with the game-time temperature at 95 degrees.  The Robertson and Henderson goals were the first as Sounders for both players.

HIGHLIGHTS
2'  Russell dribbles down the left side of the field to the corner flag, his centering pass across the goal mouth area goes over the head of Baena but to Robertson.  Robertson controls and his left-footed shot goes in off the post for a goal.  IND 0 - 1 SEA.
20'  Baena gets a pass just outside the penalty area and moves around Browder, who fouls Baena just outside the area.  Browder is cautioned and the resulting free kick is taken by Robertson whose shot just goes over the bar.
24'  Waibel plays a long ball down the middle of the field to Storkson.  Storkson controls the cross and passes to Baena who is outside of the penalty area.  Baena takes two touches on the ball to get past the Blast defense and shoots.  His shot goes past Browder to the right corner of the net.  IND 0 - 2 SEA.
34'  Indiana's James controls a cross into the penalty area.  James passes to Foster on the right side of the penalty area.  Foster's shot goes past Burpo to the upper left-hand corner of the net.  IND 1 - 2 SEA.
68'  Off a Seattle free kick, Hattrup takes the ball just outside the area and passes to Henderson, who heads past Browder for the Sounders' third goal.  IND 1 - 3 SEA.
80'  Baena gets past the Indiana defense, but his shot sails high of goal.
